MTV fans hold the “Power of the Popcorn” awards in their hands with voting available online via through Saturday, June 2. As always, voting for “Movie of the Year” will remain open throughout the live show on Sunday, June 3.

The new voting process will incorporate social media in a multi-screen campaign, allowing fans to vote with hashtags for each nominee. The Twitter Tracker and Facebook Tracker will show results in real-time on MTV's Movie Awards website.


During the ceremony, Christian Bale, Joseph Gordon-Levitt and Gary Oldman will present new footage from the Batman finale The Dark Knight Rises with director Christopher Nolan.


Other presenters include The Amazing Spider-Man's Emma Stone and Andrew Garfield, Snow White and the Huntsman's Kristen Stewart, Chris Hemsworth and Charlize Theron, Michael Fassbender from Prometheus, as well as Mila Kunis, Mark Wahlberg, Adam Sandler, Emma Watson, and Charlie Sheen.


In addition to the social media voting, this year the MTV Movie Awards will expand its music performances to include electronic dance artist Martin Solveig, to play house DJ and remix themes from classic films, such as Star Wars, Jaws and Pulp Fiction.


MTV selected Johnny Depp to be honored at the “2012 MTV Movie Awards” with the MTV Generation Award for his exceptional contributions to the film industry and for entertaining generations of the MTV audience throughout his illustrious career, live from the Gibson Amphitheatre in Universal City, CA on Sunday, June 3, 2012 at 9:00 p.m. ET/PT.
