MISSING IN ACTION: The Tigers will be sweating on the fitness of skipper Robbie Farah after Origin. The gutsy No.9 was knocked out early in the match but recovered to see out the 80 minutes. But he’s been concussed three times now this season and there may be a risk if he backs up 48 hours after the physical match on Wednesday night. Tim Moltzen will miss at least a week with his hamstring strain meaning a reshuffle of the backline. Funny man Beau Ryan shifts from the centres to fullback, with Blake Ayshford moving from five-eighth to centre to accommodate the return of youngster Curtis Sironen. Experienced back-rower Liam Fulton is also back in the side at lock, pushing Matt Bell back to the bench. Mid-season recruit Sam Perrett comes straight into the starting side for the Bulldogs on the right wing with Luke MacDougall making way. New Zealand international back-rower Greg Eastwood will start at lock, pushing David Stagg to the bench.


FORM: The Tigers have endured a difficult few weeks both on and off the field. The sad passing of Farah’s mum Sonia to cancer hit all at the club hard and the tragedy look to be having an effect on their performances on the field. It’s not just the fact Tim Sheens’ side have lost two matches in a row but also the manner of those defeats. They have lacked intensity in defence and have subsequently conceded 80 points in those two games. Last weekend’s bye may be just what the doctor ordered.


Things couldn’t be going better at Canterbury with the club flying high in second spot after five straight wins. There was a belief a few weeks back that the Bulldogs couldn’t be a premiership contender because they had yet to defeat any of the genuine top sides. Their last start 20-4 romp of runaway league leaders Melbourne extinguished any of those doubts. The Bulldogs have won three of the last four between the two clubs.
